Super Fluid
SUPER FLUID
Super fluid was originally discovered in liquid helium,by PYOTR KAPITSA & JOHN F.ALLEN. The theory of superfluidity was developed by Lev Landau. Super-fluidity occurs in two isotopes of Helium [Helium-3 & Helium-4] when they are liquified by cooling to cryogenic temperatures i.e, T=-269℃ or 4.15K . When cooled further 2.17K or -271℃ called its Lambda point,a remarkable thing occurs ,the liquid density drops, and the liquid becomes a zero viscosity"SUPER-FLUID"
The characteristics of superfluid
This weird character of a liquid can't be explained by our normal physics and classical laws. It can be explained clearly by a renowned model/law called QUANTUM MECHANICS .
And one more thing is ,if u had a cup of liquid helium and gave it a swirl the Helium would spin forever.....ever...
The above video is a simulated version of swirl of liquid helium.
It is also a property of various other exotic states of matter theorized to exist in astrophysics, high energy physics, and theories of quantum gravity. The phenomenon is related to Bose Einstein condensation, but neither is a specific type of the other: not all Bose-Einstein condensates can be regarded as superfluids, and not all superfluids are Bose–Einstein condensates.

2.In Astrophysics
The idea that superfluidity exists inside neutron stars was first proposed by Arkady Migdal.
It is expected that nucleons in a neutron star at sufficiently high density and low temperature can also form Cooper pairs because of the long-range attractive nuclear force and lead to superfluidity and
superconductivity.
